Children's bedroom are the perfect places to have fun with your interiors and inject lots of colour and personality. With this project I designed a space that not only could grow with the child, but would meet all the needs for a multi-purpose space.
The brief included a study area which had became a necessity for home schooling and also a fun den space under the bed for playing and reading. Using a mid sleeper bed created more usable floor space and I made curtains to hang underneath to form a screen. Adding cushions, a textured sheepskin and fairy lights created a cosy reading nook. A bookcase is also housed under the bed which keeps the room free from clutter and ensures there is a home for all the small toys and games. Seagrass storage baskets are ideal for larger toys and dressing up and ensured the cohesion of natural elements in the scheme.
The colour palette was kept neutral with the bold pop of colour on the hand-painted rainbow wall art and continuing the pink accents around the window frame. A bright rainbow coloured rug and cushions finished the look and tied all the elements together.
